Tango Boot Camp for beginners! No previous dance experience needed.

This course is perfect for beginners, as well as existing dancers who want to strengthen their fundamentals or learn the opposite role.


The learnings from this Tango Boot Camp will enable you to have a great time on the dance floor.

Here are some of the most important components for partner dancing that will be covered:

COMMUNICATION

Interacting and listening to your partner.

Understanding the lead and follow roles.

BODY AWARENESS

Control of posture, embrace, and balance.

MOVEMENT

Moving around the dance floor, creating flow and ease in the partnership.

MUSIC

Sharing movement inspired by music.

BOOT CAMP 2022 PROGRAM

Friday 26 August

6:00-7:00pm Tango Introduction

Saturday 27 August

10:30am-12:30pm Tango Boot Camp session 1

1:30-3:30pm Tango Boot Camp session 2

Sunday 28 August

10:00-10:45am Yoga stretch session

11:00am-1:00pm Tango Boot Camp session 3

4:00-5:30pm Tango Boot Camp session 4

Boot Camp is limited to 40 participants. We will do our best to keep a good balance of Leaders vs Followers. Boot Camp participants must be present for the entire course. 

Price: $170 on its own or can be booked as part of

the Full Weekend pass ($210).

THINGS TO BRING...

so you get the most out of your Tango Boot Camp experience:

  • Clothes and shoes that are comfortable to move in (you should be able to take long steps).

  • Water bottle and snacks (to fuel you for all the wonderful learning!).

  • If you want, phone or pen and paper to record exercises and movement.
